Ok experience . It is what I needed.
The staff was really nice, but didn't write my garage code on my envelope then was weird about it when I called to have them let my dad in to put stuff in my unit during the move. I had just left about 20 minutes before and they knew I had been there. I also don't like the fact that I was forced to purchase insurance for an extra 10-12 bucks a month. The facility was great - very clean, comfortable temperature.
Pricing, 24/7 access, 10% senior citizen discount very apprecisted.
great place great customer service, I don't appreciate having to pay for insurance extra 10.00 per month .. I could use my home owners insurance they said but I donot like combining things like that and just an over all privacy issue with that for me.. but that's the

Very good and excellent service
As my first time using a storage facility, I did not know what to expect. However, everything went very smoothly. The facility is spacious and clean, the storage unit is study and clean, and the staff was wonderful. I am very pleased I chose U Store It in Lisle.

We moved from a different city on a day with 95F temps. The guy at U-stor-it made the move very easy and offered water etc. Very good customer service and easy set up.
The facility is well-secured and well-maintained. There seemed to be wet spots in some of the hallways but not in either of the units I viewed. The customer service representative that I worked with was very helpful and explained the details of the leasing arrangement in a clear, comprehensive manner.
Love the easy access, complete tour, and help with understanding the payment process. Great discounts too - 50% off for first 3 months or first month free right now. Love it!!!
Nice place and well maintained. Rented a space online and less than 20 minutes later received a call regarding the unit. Was able to change my unit size upon arrival with no hassles whatsoever. Would definitely recommend this facility to others.

Everything about the storage unit itself was fine. The problem I had was when I booked it online I got a great deal, but when I actually went in for the paper work a week later they did not honor my online rate and told me I would have to pay 20 a month more than I expected. I was not pleased.
I've been a renter here for a while and have also incurred the huge monthly rate increase. I'm certainly not opposed to paying a little more each year, but to get such a large amount thrown at me all at once just wasn't fair. In what little I've been able to get out of the manager it's all about collecting more money because of supply and demand. It's too bad. Unfortunately I can't move into a smaller unit to keep my price down, I just have too much stuff at this time. I guess I'll have to start looking for another place to keep my stuff, hopefully with a company that treats its loyal customers better.
On May 29, 2014 I received a "Rate Change Notice" in the mail stating that "In order to maintain our high standards and provide you with the customer service you deserve, we find it necessary to increase your monthly rental rate effective June 28, 2014." The rate change went from $70 to $89 a month!! 27% or $228 more a year for a 10x5 storage unit over the course of a year, out of the blue. First I called the Clybourn number provided. Whoever answered the phone there acted as they knew nothing about it and said I needed to contact the Lisle manager and said they would forward my number to them, I waited, a little over a week, no response from Lisle. I then emailed my dissatisfaction to the [email address withheld] email address, again, almost a week, no response. Next I went into the office and talked to the manager Duane, he gave me the song and dance about cost of living increases, yada yada, I pushed more and said your bills have gone up 27% in 2 years? He fumbled around and said, "well we are trying to stay competitive with the other storage facilities" and proceeded to tell me how much more my unit would cost down the street. I thought staying competitive was keeping your costs low and I asked him, "so basically this is a cash grab, your competitors are charging more than you so you want more money too?" He said "yes." I explained my displeasure, said they are lying to their customers about providing better customer service since I couldn't even get a phone call back or an email, and demanded to talk to an owner or a manager.

When I booked online, Dennis called me right back and when I went in to sign the paperwork Duane showed me the unit (I had a choice of two in my requested size) and he had me fill out the paperwork. Easy as could be. We move in this weekend.
Very nice facility. The day I went there to secure my unit there was only one person working so it took a while to get going but once we got the unit set up it was fine.
I was amazed at how fast I was out of there. I was able to reserve on line. This facility is the cleanest I have seen and I love all the security! Highly recommend!
This place really is clean, brightly lit and a fortress. Everything we wanted in a storage!
This place is inside and warm! It's below 0 outside today and feels like summer inside! On a cold rainy day last fall our movers drove the 18 wheeler right inside to unload when we moved in. Our movers love this place now. The staff is always available and very nice. We feel very safe walking these halls and knowing our stuff is safe here. We tell everyone we know about UStorit and to rent here.
